Barbara Eden, born on August 23, 1931, in Tucson, Arizona, carved out a legendary place in Hollywood history with her vibrant performances and timeless charm. After studying voice and acting at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Eden started her career with small television roles on shows like I Love Lucy and The Johnny Carson Show in the 1950s. Her early work in films included a co-starring role with Elvis Presley in Flaming Star (1960), but it was her breakout role as the mischievous genie in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965–1970) that made her a household name.
